PURPOSE: A method of making confectionery using red pepper paste by mixing a confectionery material, red pepper paste, garlic juice, ginger and soy sauce is provided. The product is somewhat hot spicy, sweet, nice and salty and thus can be suitable as a side dish. CONSTITUTION: To produce the confectionery, 32.5 to 93.4% by weight of a confectionery material is mixed with 5 to 15% by weight of red pepper paste, 1 to 5% by weight of garlic juice, 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of ginger and 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of soy sauce. For an example, 300kg of wheat flour, 30kg of red pepper paste, 9kg of garlic juice, 1.5kg of ginger and 3kg of say sauce are mixed with 120kg of water and kneaded for 40min. And the mixture is formed.
