<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developing device that can reduce the scattering of the toner generated by the centrifugal force of a magnetic brush when the napping/non-napping for each magnetic pole are repeated, especially the scattering of the toner where the gap between the pole of a magnetic pole P1b for development and magnetic poles (Pla pole and Plc pole) at both sides is narrow and the amount of scattering generated between them is extremely large, and also that is effective to the reduction of an abnormal image called a rear end void; and to provide an image-forming device using the two-component developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The two-component developing device for visualizing an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor comprises a development roller having a nonmagnetic sleeve for rotating the developing device, and a fixed magnet having a nonmagnetic magnetic pole near both the sides of the magnetic pole for development inside the nonmagnetic sleeve; and an electrode that is provided at a position opposite to the nonmagnetic sleeve and at a position opposite to the magnetic pole existing near both the sides of the magnetic pole for development, thus applying potential that is lower than the development roller to the electrode for development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
