<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very simple direct methanol type fuel battery cell stably functioning at all times, not requiring moisture management of an electrolyte layer, and without permeation of methanol through the electrolyte layer. <P>SOLUTION: The direct methanol type fuel battery cell, to which fuel methanol is directly supplied, comprises an electrolyte layer 1 made of a solid polymer, a first electrode layer 2 set at one face side of the electrolyte layer 1 having a catalytic function of ionizing hydrogen, a first metal film 4 arranged between the first electrode layer 2 and the electrolyte layer 1 making only hydrogen ion permeate, a second electrode layer 3 arranged on the other face side of the electrolyte layer 1 having a catalytic function, and a second metal film 5 arranged between the second electrode layer 3 and the electrolyte layer 1 making only hydrogen ion permeate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
