<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that easily adjusts image quality, specifically, an image forming apparatus that easily adjusts image quality optimum for the quality of paper on which images are to be formed, or that easily adjusts the reference value of density. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the function of outputting sample charts. Each of the sample charts is outputted onto paper such that image quality adjustment parameters are switched so as to correspond to paper quality.
