<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material for forming a thin-film piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet material for forming a piezoelectric element is a self-standing porous sheet material comprising an inorganic substance and a thermoplastic resin and having a thickness of 2-1,000 μm.
