INFORMATION EMBEDDING METHOD AND INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information embedding method and an information processor for embedding information in an MPEG stream by a simple method with few processing loads without decoding the MPEG stream up to an image level and extracting secret information from a decoded result of the stream.

SOLUTION: The method for embedding the information in the MPEG stream by inserting an information picture being a picture with predetermined information embedded therein into the MPEG stream comprises: a picture generation stage for generating the information picture; an insertion position determining stage for determining a position for inserting the information picture into the MPEG stream; and a picture insertion stage for inserting the information picture into the MPEG stream with the MPEG picture as a picture of differential information for a picture located ahead of the information picture in order of a decoded picture.
