<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate connection of a thin cable remarkably with the connecting part of, for example, a closure for a round multiple optical fiber cable while suppressing the equipment cost. <P>SOLUTION: The adaptor for a thin cable is equipped with a pair of spacers 31 which are shaped nearly identically with an externally round multiple optical fiber cable and which are formed inside with a groove 32 serving as a hole for holding an element part 64 of the thin cable. Between these spacers 31, the element part 64 is arranged through a sealing tape 34, with the spacers 31 joined to each other and fixedly tightened with a fixing band 36. Then, an adaptor 22 holding the element part 64 is made to be clamped by the cable clamping part of the closure for the round multiple optical fiber cable, and is attached with a grommet 23 to be arranged inside a closure 11, with a sleeve 12 of the closure 11 hermetically sealed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
