PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance moldability while simplifying mold processing work, in a method for molding a resin molded product having a hollow part using a gas injection type mold, and the mold therefor. SOLUTION: In the method for molding the door trim lower (resin molded product) 30 having the hollow part 33, a second space 64 for housing the spilled-out resin S of a second stage occurring accompanied by the injection of gas is allowed to communicate with a first space 62 for housing the spilled-out resin S of a first stage by the rising of a shutter plate 63 accompanied by the injection and charging of a molten resin M into a cavity C and set to a parting line PL surface. A positionally adjustable intercepting plate 66 is set to the terminal side of the second space 64 for housing the spilled-out resin S to control the volume of the spilled-out resin S.
