PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-retardant synthetic resin molded body having fire retardancy and making it easy to balance the compounding amount of a high-cost fire-retardant material with the fire retardancy. SOLUTION: While the surface of a synthetic resin molded body is made to have fire retardancy by that the fire-retardant material constituted of an aluminum hydroxide and/or a magnesium hydroxide is compounded by 60-80 wt.% in an outer layer 1, the synthetic resin molded body having a desired fire retardancy can be obtained at a low cost, without compounding an excessive fire-retardant material, by setting the thickness of the outer layer 1 according to the fire retardancy of a core material 2 and a required fire-retardant performance. Since the aluminum hydroxide and/or the magnesium hydroxide is used for the fire-retardant material and besides a polyolefin resin is used therefor, no harmful substance is brought about by burning and a load on environment is lessened in the case when the molded body is burned at disposal as well as in the case when it is burned on the occasion of installation.
