PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally insulating structure of a roof, for reducing time and labor for manufacturing a thermally insulating panel, by reducing a processing of cutting work of the thermally insulating panel. SOLUTION: This thermally insulating structure of the roof is constituted so that the eaves side edge of the thermally insulating panel 1 is fixed as a cantilever by a receiving material 6 fixed to a ridge side upper corner part of horizontal beam members 4, by inserting the thermally insulating panel 1 between a plurality of horizontal beam members 4 on the lower side of a plurality of vertical beam members for constituting a roof skeleton; a ridge side edge surface of the thermally insulating panel 1 is cut off at an angleθalong a side surface of the horizontal beam members 4; the receiving material 6 is composed of a thermally insulating material; a fitting part 12 for suitably fitting the ridge side upper corner part of the horizontal beam members 4, is arranged on an under surface of the receiving material 6; and a receiving part 14 of the eaves side edge of the thermally insulating panel 1 having a receiving surface 13 of an angleθequal to an inclination of an eaves side edge surface of the thermally insulating panel 1, is formed on a ridge side surface of the receiving material 6.
