PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion coating composition capable of satisfying both of obtaining a film having a high gloss value and the stability of the coating. SOLUTION: This emulsion coating composition is characterized by containing an emulsion resin showing≥70 gloss value at 60°of a coated film obtained by applying the resin on a glass plate with an applicator to become 50μm dried film thickness, and then leaving for 1 day under a standard condition specified by JIS K 5600 and having pH 7-11, and a pigment paste consisting of a water-soluble resin having≤90 solid portion acid value and a pigment so as to become (25/1)-(60/1) solid content mass ratio of the emulsion resin to the water-soluble resin. The mass ratio of the solid content of the water-soluble resin to that of the pigment is preferably (0.5/100)-(5/100). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
