PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which stable photographic performances are obtained even when heat developable photosensitive materials are continuously processed with a compact heat developing machine. SOLUTION: In the image forming method by which an image is formed, with a heat developing machine, by heat-developing a heat developable photosensitive material comprising a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder on at least one surface of a support, the silver iodide content of the photosensitive silver halide is 5 to 100 mol% and an exhaust wind flow of the heat developing machine is≤20 m<SP>3</SP>/h.
