A conservatory roof construction comprises a ring beam 10 adapted to be laid around the surfaces of the conservatory walls, a ridge member 12 and a plurality of glazing bars 13 extending between ridge member 12 and ring-beam 10. The inwardly-directed faces of ring beam 10 and ridge member 12 are trimmed with elongate valance strips 26, 53. Each strip 26, 53 are of substantially the same configuration.
