FLEXIBLE SELF-EXPANDABLE STENT MADE OF SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A flexible stent is provided to expand an occluded portion of a human body, prevent a passing fluid from being contacted with a lesion, and to cut off aneurysm of a blood vessel using a shape memory alloy. CONSTITUTION: A first wire(10) and a second wire(11) are cross and bent to each other at different positions such that the wires have two different diagonal lengths in a circumference direction. The wires form a cylindrical body(50) consisting of a stagger portion(60) contractible in a longitudinal direction and a diamond shape space(20) formed by a cross straight portion(70) to provide a reacting force against contraction of the stagger portion. The first wire is freely contracted and extended relative to the second wire, but the first wire is not detached from the second wire.
