PURPOSE: Provided is a unit for closing and opening a toilet seat lid which is able to employ a unit case capable of increasing the design property of a western style toilet unit by improving the construction and layout of equipment parts in the unit case and arranging each of the equipment parts compactly. CONSTITUTION: In the unit for closing and opening a toilet seat lid, a link gear(40), a driving gear(50) and an oil damper apparatus for a toilet seat lid are arranged on the same axis with respect to a rotating shaft, a front gear(72), final gear(73) and idle gear(8) of a reduction gear row are arranged in a vertical row toward the driving gear(50) from below. Due to this, the final gear, idle gear(8), driving gear(50) and link gear(40) can be arranged within a raising section of an L-shaped unit case when viewed from an axial line direction of the rotating shaft. |
