<p>A hair care emulsion which comprises a nonionic surfactant being solid at ordinary temperatures and having a Krafft point of 40°C or above, an oil, and water with the mean particle diameter of dispersoids being 0.5mum or below and which enables the glossiness of hair to be retained; and a hair care emulsion which consists of an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing as the oil phases the following two kinds of oil phases and which can improve the touch just after application: (1) an oil phase made of a nonionic surfactant which is solid at ordinary temperatures and has a Krafft point of 40°C or above and having a mean particle diameter of 0.5mum or below and (2) an oil phase made of a surfactant and/or an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and having a mean particle diameter of 0.5 to 100mum.</p>
