PURPOSE: A filter assembly for a microwave oven is provided to realize wholesome cooking by removing the foreign substances in the air supplied to an electric component chamber and to prevent the overheating of the microwave oven by sufficiently supplying the exterior air. CONSTITUTION: A filter assembly(30) comprises a housing(10) which is combined with the exterior of intake holes in the rear face of a microwave oven and includes an incised portion(1) formed in an upper portion and guide rails(2) vertically attached to the right lower portion of the incised portion and a square filter(20) which is inserted through the incised portion and of which lifting is guided by the guide rails.
