PURPOSE: A system and method for rejecting a specific number using a short message service are provided to effectively prevent harmful information by preventing a user of a target terminal subjected to origination rejection from optionally terminating a corresponding service. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station(10) requests an origination rejection service and transmits a phone number of a terminal to be subjected to origination rejection and a phone number to be rejected to a base station(20). The base station(20) communicates with the mobile station(10) and connects it with an external telephone network. A control station(30) controls operations of the base station(20). A switching center(40) connected to various telephone networks processes mobile subscribers. An HLR(50) stores and manages a position and a state of a mobile subscriber and information on whether a subscriber is a proper user. An SMS(Short Message Service) system(60) processes a short message of a subscriber. A PSTN(70) is connected through the switching center(40).
