PURPOSE: A tire chain is provided to simplify and easily detach a combining tool and to use regardless of the width and diametral size of a tire by forming a ring unit to a clamping bar at multiple stages. CONSTITUTION: A tire chain is composed of an inner wire contacted to the inside of a tire; a friction pad of which one side is connected to the inner wire and the other side covers a circumferential surface of the tire to generate brake power; a connecting pin for linking ends of two friction pads as one; a combining tool contacting and fixing the chain to the tire by pulling the connecting pin; a clamping bar(120) having a ring unit(122) formed at one side and hung to the center of the connection pin and linear saw teeth(124) formed on the other side; an annular gear(130) having spiral saw teeth(132) formed at one side and engaged with the linear saw teeth and annular saw teeth formed over the whole inner peripheral surface; a circular gear(134) having a central shaft formed in the center of one side, circular saw teeth(142) formed on the outside of the central shaft and rotatively engaged with the annular saw teeth, and a polygonal groove(144) arranged in the center of the other side; a first housing(150) having a plurality of guide grooves(152) symmetrical to each other to reciprocate the clamping bar and a hole(154) corresponding to the polygonal groove; and a second housing(160) for closing the first housing and having a central hole inserted with the central shaft to rotatively support the central shaft.
