DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EASILY AND CORRECTLY INPUTTING CHARACTERS USING TOUCH SCREEN SUCH AS STYLUS PEN

PURPOSE: A device and a method for easily and correctly inputting characters using a touch screen are provided to enhance recognition of the inputted characters and improve efficiency of a character input by subdividing sectors of a Korean input part and an English input part for a handwriting input method. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen panel(7) includes additional sectors(12,13,22,23). A character recognizer(9) extracts character code data by recognizing the character inputted to the touch screen panel. A controller(8) converts the extracted character code data based on rules preset to the additional sectors by judging that the character is inputted to the additional sectors.
