<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing low temperature discharge characteristics of a nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery provided with a positive electrode containing a lithium composite oxide containing at least one kind of transition metal as an active material, electrolyte obtained by dissolving at least LiPF<SB>6</SB>in an organic solvent as an electrolyte, and a separator, an organic solvent containing ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, and ethyl methyl carbonate is used as this organic solvent, and when the rates of ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, and ethyl methyl carbonate to the total sum of ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, and ethyl methyl carbonate are expressed as x, y, z (unit volume %) respectively, an organic solvent satisfying 10≤x≤35, 10≤y≤85, and 5≤z≤80 is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
