<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive lithographic printing original plate having excellent solubility difference between an exposed part and an unexposed part with respect to a developing solution (solubility discrimination) and having little changes in the developing property with time after exposure. <P>SOLUTION: The positive lithographic printing original plate has the following image recording layer formed on a hydrophilic supporting body. The image recording layer contains (A) resin prepared by substituting an ether group for a part of phenolic hydroxyl groups possessed by a phenolic resin and (B) a photothermal converting agent, and whose solubility to an alkaline aqueous solution is increased by IR laser exposure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
