PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the position of a reel which really stops, and also to correct a position deviation when the reel to be stopped is deviated in position. SOLUTION: When first to third reels 9-11 with an inspection reel tape wound thereon are stopped, identifier detecting sensors 85-87 detect the color of an inspection color bar to be stopped on a center prize-winning line among the prize-winning lines in playing a game. It is determined whether the position is deviated or not through the use of detected color information of the color bar. When the identifier detecting sensors are incorporated in a slot machine to be arranged in a game hall and the position deviation of the stopped reel is detected, the reels are rotated by the number of driving pulses corresponding to the position deviation.
