(METH)ACRYLIC ACID ALKALI METAL SALT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (meth)acrylic acid metal salt reduced in the polymer content and useful in various kinds of applications and to provide a method for producing the (meth)acrylic acid alkali metal salt by which polymerization can sufficiently be suppressed and to provide a production method scarcely producing gel-like material in piping and tanks and capable of stably producing the (meth)acrylic acid alkali metal salt over a long period. SOLUTION: The (meth)acrylic acid alkali metal salt comprises an N-oxyl compound as a polymerization inhibitor and has≤2,000 ppm water content. The method for producing the (meth)acrylic acid alkali metal salt comprises a step for obtaining a solution of (meth)acrylic acid alkali metal salt by neutralization of (meth)acrylic acid with a compound containing an alkali metal in the presence of the N-oxyl compound.
