PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology not applying a burden to processing of a cellular phone without requiring complicated knowledge and lots of hours and labors when customizing a portable terminal with favorite contents. SOLUTION: A user selects an entry of melody retrieval on a arrival sound setting screen and connects with a contents management server 2 when there is not his or her favorite melody and inputs a key word on a retrieval information screen to transmit it to the contents management server 2. The contents management server 2 retrieves a arrival melody corresponding to a retrieval information group containing the key word in a contents management data base 23, and transmits a music title and a link parameter of the arrival melody to the cellular phone 1. The cellular phone 1 receives the music title and the link parameter of the contents, displays the music title as a retrieval result, and downloads the arrival melody from the contents server 3 based on the link parameter of the arrival melody to set as the arrival sound.
