PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt an operation floor having structure for arranging storage pipes with zig-zag arrangement at high density to realize highly dense storage for spent fuel. SOLUTION: Structure constituted mainly of a substantially honey-comb-shaped steel hollow structure 21, and filled with concrete 22 in it hollow part is adopted as the structure of the operation floor. The steel hollow structure comprises steel pipes 23 positioned in a just upper side of the zig-zag-arranged respective storage pipes to serve respectively as charge ports, an upper steel plate 24 and a lower steel plate 25 arranged in positions in an upper face and a lower face of the operation floor, and rib steel plates 26 for connecting the steel pipes and for connecting the upper steel plate and lower steel plate. The steel hollow structure is integrated structurally with the concrete filled in the hollow part to form the whole into a steel shell concrete structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
