PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub frame and a method for manufacturing thereof for efficient manufacture with excellent dimensional accuracy. SOLUTION: This sub frame S1 is provided with a pair of frame units 10 separately arranged to face each other. Each frame units 10 is constituted by respectively connecting an end member 15 having a joint part 16 to be connected to another member on both ends of an intermediate member 12 composed of a rod-like material by solid-state welding.
