PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which facilitates the recognition of visual changes from outside including discoloring due to urination. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 has an absorbent 4 and a liquid-impermeable rear sheet 3. The absorbent 4 has an absorbing core 41 containing a high absorbability polymer and a shape holding sheet 42 covering the circumference thereof. A thin paper 43 is interposed between the shape holding sheet 42 and the rear sheet 3.
