PURPOSE: Provided is a sound book equipment having an image sensor and a page reader capable of recognizing pages of the book, irrespective of the thickness of pages and worn pages. CONSTITUTION: The sound book equipment capable of recognizing pages includes a page recognition unit(12) for recognizing a page code formed in a book; a memory(13) for storing voice and image information of the content of a recognized page; a voice data processor(14); a D/A converter(15) for converting a digital voice signal to an analog signal; an amplifier(16); a voice output unit(17) for outputting amplified voice and sound signals; a Micom(18) performing an overall control function; an image output unit; and an image data processor. The page recognition unit(12) includes an image acquisition part(12a) and a page reader(12b).
