<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which the number of revolutions of a compressor can be controlled by a total input current value including a load current of a device other than the compressor without using a current transformer. <P>SOLUTION: A fan motor 15 driven by a DC output voltage from a voltage doubler rectifier circuit 10 is provided. A DC output voltage and the voltage of a capacitor 7 connected with the negative electrode side of the voltage doubler rectifier circuit 10 are detected every specified sampling period. Using the product of the difference and capacitances of capacitors 6 and 7, an input current from an AC power supply 1 is determined and the control of the number of revolutions of a compressor is performed based on a more accurate input current value without using a CT. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
