<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high opening rate and high luminance of a transflective liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: Data wiring to be formed in one side of a pixel region composed of a reflective part and a transmissive part is divided into a first line and a second line to constitute the reflective part of adjacent pixel regions, while the space between the first line and the second line is used as the transmissive part. By this structure, not only a black matrix conventionally formed corresponding to the data wiring can be removed, but the region for the black matrix can be used as a transmissive region. Thus, a high opening rate and high luminance can be realized. This method is advantageous to keep the maximum opening rate because a color filter can be directly formed over the array substrate described above to prevent process errors conventionally produced in a laminating process of a color filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
