摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which has improved dimming accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: When emitting the light of a stroboscope 14, a reflector driving part 62 turns a reflector 72 provided behind the stroboscope 14 in order to reflect the light emitted from the stroboscope 14 to condense the emitted light in accordance with a distance up to an object to thereby increase/decrease the reflection area of the reflector 72 resulting in adjustment of a light emitting range angle of the stroboscope 14. Also, a light shielding plate driving part 64 turns a light shielding plate 80 provided with two large and small openings for making light incident on a dimming sensor 15 and switches the openings used to make the light incident on the dimming light 15 to thereby increase/decrease an opening area resulting in adjustment of a light detection range angle of the dimming sensor 15. Concretely, the larger the distance up to the object is, the more the light emitting range angle and the light detection range angle are expanded. Thus, the directional characteristics of the stroboscope 14 and the dimming sensor 15 is suitably adjusted in accordance with the distance up to the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
