HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICE AND SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human interface device and system customizable in conformation to the physical condition or taste of a user or a program that is an operation object.

SOLUTION: The human interface device 1 has an operation part 10 having an operating function such as a button and a connecting means 13 capable of connecting a substrate 20; a connecting means 21 capable of connecting the operation part 10; and the substrate 20 having a hub 22 for adding the number of a port connected with the operation part 10 to an operation signal from the operation part 10. The operation object 30 comprises a means 34 for identifying the port number from the received set signal and operation signal; a means 35 for storing information for the port number and the position of the connecting means 21 of the substrate 20; a means 36 for specifying the position of the operation part 10 and displaying the substrate 20 with the operation part 10 arranged thereon on a screen; and a means 37 for selecting the operation part 10 from the screen to perform a necessary setting.
