PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed processor of a shield excavator processing an accurate transfer speed of a shield jack and improving the excavating execution efficiency of the shield machine by appropriately driving the jack. SOLUTION: In the speed arithmetic unit of the shield excavator provided with a stroke meter detecting a stroke, a controller processing a stroke STm stored in a memory, a stroke ST outputted from the stroke meter, and a transfer speed of the shield jack from sampling time Tx1' or Tx2' that output signals from the stroke meter are sampled and outputting the arithmetic result, and a display inputting the arithmatic result and displaying it, the stroke STm stored in the memory is renewed at every operation of the transfer speed of the shield jack to a figure that measured distance X is added or subtracted to or from the stroke STm which is stored in the memory at present.
