PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shaping tool shaping a grinding worm placed on a tool spindle of a machine in a short time. SOLUTION: The shaping tool has a basically cylindrical gear (6) and a basically cylindrical roll (7). The gear (6) has an abrasive coating on the surface which operates in shaping so as to copy grind a flank of a grinding worm (3). The roll (7) has an abrasive coating on the peripheral surface so as to fit the diameter of the addendum circle of the grinding worm. The gear (6) and the roll (7) can be connected to a workpiece spindle (1) of the machine to prevent the movement to the axis line direction and the torsion direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
