LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR SPEED REDUCER AND SPEED REDUCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition for a speed reducer that enhances the efficiency of a speed reducer and to provide a speed reducer using the lubricant composition. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition for the speed reducer comprises (a) a base oil, (b) a molybdenum dithiocarbamate and (c) at least one kind of calcium salt selected from the group consisting of a calcium salt of a petroleum sulfonic acid, a calcium salt of an alkyl aromatic sulfonic acid, a calcium salt of an oxidized wax, an overbased calcium salt of a petroleum sulfonic acid, an overbased calcium salt of an alkyl aromatic sulfonic acid and an overbased calcium salt of an oxidized wax.
