PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce partial wear of contacts at a contact section of a circuit breaker in which a plurality of contacts are arranged in parallel. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker comprises at least three contact pairs of a fixed and movable contact that are arranged electrically in parallel and in a row. The fixed contacts are provided on a first plate-shaped conductor, and the movable contacts are connected to a second plate-shaped conductor via individual movable elements. The contact pairs located at an end of the row has a greater conductive cross-sectional area than that of another pair located in the middle of the row. Dimensions of the contacts are different only in the direction of the row, and are the same in the direction of width of the row. The contact pairs located at the end of the row are made of a material having higher arc consumption resistance than the material of the pair of the contacts located in the middle of the row.
