PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the installation state of a vessel without making the installation state of the vessel unstable. SOLUTION: This food processor is provided with a body 50 having a drive means, a first vessel 11 mounted on the body 50, a first preparation member 25 installed inside the first vessel 11, a first preparation unit 10A having a cover 35 which covers the first vessel 11 and detachably locked to the body 50, a second vessel 46 mounted on the body 50, a second preparation unit 10B installed in the second vessel 46 and having a second preparation member 49, and a detecting means provided in the body 50, detecting the installation state of the first vessel 11 and the second vessel 46 by lowering an operation part 62 upward energized by a spring 64, and preventing the operation of the drive means, when both of the vessels are non-installed.
