PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester so designed that the open structure of a feed chain set section has sufficiently high mechanical strength, and easy to carry out the internal maintenance of a threshing unit and a reaping unit. SOLUTION: This combine harvester has the following construction: A feed chain 14 in a gain culm conveying section including the feed chain 14 for conveying grain culms into the threshing unit 15, a feed chain cover 80 at the flank of the feed chain 14 and a part of an opening/closing plate 83 covering the flank of the threshing unit 15 are set integratedly together, and the resulting integrated grain culm conveying section is set openably on the flank of a machine body around a vertical turning shaft 55a mounted on the machine body on the rear side of one side of the threshing unit 15. In this combine harvester, since the part of the opening/closing plate 83 is also opened integratedly together with the feed chain 14 with the feed chain 14 left open, a maintenance inside the threshing unit 15 can be performed easily.
