PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the development of vortex and the mixture of slag by forming a projecting part in the inner tube of a sleeve brick. SOLUTION: A structure for preventing entanglement of the slag into the sleeve brick in a steel tapping hole in a converter has the constitution, in which at least one of the projecting part (2a) is formed in the inner tube (2) of the sleeve brick (1) and the projecting height of this projecting part (2a) is made to be≥1 mm and the maximum height is made to be≤2/3 of the inner diameter (D) of the sleeve brick (1) and thus, the production of the vortex at the molten steel pouring time is prevented and the mixture of the slag is prevented.
