PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor which can reduce liquid leakage and dry-up and which can thereby expect an improvement in reliability. SOLUTION: The electric double layer capacitor includes windows 15a, 15b provided partly in the insulating layer of a laminated film 7a as sheathing members. The laminated film 7a is used as a sheathing and terminal plate. A cell laminate 9a is sealed by the laminated film 7a so that the windows 15a, 15b are brought into contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the cell laminate 9a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
