PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of a survey instrument by making the correspondence between survey data and survey points easily obtainable by acquiring the image together with the survey data. SOLUTION: The surveying instrument for acquiring the survey data of the survey point by measuring the distance and the angle of the survey point comprises: a display part 9 provided with a display screen; a 1st imaging part 14 for obtaining the survey point image including the survey point; and a calculation part 4 for displaying the survey point image correlated with the survey point while calculating the position of survey point on the display screen based on the survey data, then displaying the survey point mark at the calculated point on the screen.
