PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type cosmetic which has excellent makeup retainability, has good skin compatibility, is freshly, has smooth spreadability, and has excellent temporal stability. SOLUTION: This water-in-oil type cosmetic is characterized by comprising the following components (A), (B) and (C), wherein the hydroxyl group value (OHV) of the component (A) is 10 to 150. The component (A) is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a ditrimethylolpropane fatty acid ester compound, a ditrimethylolpropane polybasic carboxylic acid polycondensation product, a polycondensation product of the ester compound with a polybasic carboxylic acid, and a polycondensation product of ditrimethylolpropane, a fatty acid and a polybasic carboxylic acid.
