DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TESTING HARD DISK DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for testing a hard disk drive. SOLUTION: A host computer is provided with at least two serial communication ports connected to a power card for supplying operation power to each hard disk drive to be tested. A serial communication exchange is connected to the serial communication ports of the host computer and the hard disk drive, and responds to a channel selection command issued by the host computer to selectively establish a serial communication channel between the hard disk drive, the power card and the host computer.
