摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking control method of an optical pickup in which deterioration of an optical property can be prevented without affected by the change over aging or the weight of the optical pickup, and deterioration of the optical property at the time of tracking servo control is suppressed. SOLUTION: The tracking control method of the optical pickup comprises a step (S206) in which a tracking wobble signal Sy in which a signal level Vy is set is outputted, a step (S208) in which a reflected light quantity signal is obtained as V(1), a step (210) in which the tracking wobble signal Sy in which a signal level (-Vy) is set is outputted, a step (212) in which a reflected light quantity signal is obtained as V(2), a step (S222) in which a bias signal Sb is upped when the V(1) exceeds V2 (YES in S220), a step (S224) in which a bias signal Sb is downed when the V(1) does not exceed V2 (NO in S220), and a step (S218) in which tracking servo is turned on when (V1) is same as V(2) (YES in S216).
