PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch mounting structure for an instrument panel capable of easily attaching/detaching a switch without damaging a design of a surface of the switch, making an influence on layout of other parts in the instrument panel less and excellent in applicability with different switch members by the kind and the grade of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The switch mounting part 2 is projectedly provided along a steering column part 42 from the instrument panel 1 at a periphery of a base end part of the steering column part 42 of the vehicle.
