PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of enabling an occupant of the vehicle to recognize a temperature change between regular temperatures and low temperatures of engine cooling water and a temperature change between regular temperatures and high temperatures. SOLUTION: This display device for the vehicle has a display board 40 on which display patterns 40a, 40b are formed, a light emitting diode 70a to inject red light in the display pattern 40a, a light emitting diode 70b to inject blue light in the display pattern 40b and a microcomputer 81 to control the diodes 70a, 70b in accordance with detected temperature output from a water temperature sensor 90, and this microcomputer 81 blinks the light emitting diode 70a so as to increase blinking speed as cooling water temperature T approaches the high temperatures from the regular temperatures and blinks the light emitting diode 70b so as to increase blinking speed as the cooling water temperature T approaches the low temperatures from the regular temperatures.
