PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove vegetable bits getting into a hole or the like to block it up in a vegetable cutter provided with a flat blade and a comb blade and constituted to shred vegetables or the like. SOLUTION: In this vegetable cutter 21, approximately center parts of longitudinal right and left frame parts 23, 23 of a cutter body 22 are provided with grooves 9, 9 horizontally bored to face in an oblique direction, and the flat blade 3 is inserted in the grooves 9, 9 and laid between the right and left frame parts 23, 23. Further, a receiving plate 6 is fixed integrally with the right and left frame parts 23, 23 in front of the flat blade 3, and a cutting receiving plate 25 mounted rotatably to the right and left frame parts 23, 23 is disposed behind. In the vegetable cutter 21 of such constitution, pivot pins 26, 26 are projected inward at the inner parts near the rear ends of the right and left frame parts 23, 23, while engaging holes 27, 27 are formed at both side parts near the rear end of the cutting receiving plate 25, and the engaging holes 27, 27 are provided with open parts 27b, 27b. Since pivotally supporting grooves in a conventional example are not formed in the right and left frame parts, vegetable bits are not accumulated in the right and left frame parts, and the vegetable bits accumulated in the engaging holes in the cutting receiving plate are removed by easily detaching the cutting receiving plate and are also washed out with water.
