PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly recognize the amount of springback of the whole press formed articles. SOLUTION: A measurement data is obtained by measuring the shape of the press formed article after it is pressed with a three-dimensional shape measuring instrument (S1), next, the design data ( shape data ) of the press formed article is obtained from a CAD device (S2) and FEM analysis of stress is performed to the measurement data and the design data (S3). The result of the FEM analysis obtained from the measured data and the result of the FEM analysis obtained from the design data are displayed on a display part (S4) and regions where a stress ratio is not less than a certain value are extracted on the basis of the results of the FEM analyses (S5). One side of the measurement data or the design data is moved, the extracted region is superimposed on it (S6) and positional relationship between a press formed article which is formed from the measurement data and a press formed article which is formed from the design data is measured over the whole of the press formed article on one side in the state where the extracted region is superimposed (S7).
