PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting machine for a metal product which can prevent a metal stock from being deposited due to local overheating of a stripping edge caused by friction with the metal stock when the external layer of the metal stock is being stripped by means of the stripping edge. SOLUTION: The casting machine for the metal product is equipped with a substrate 1 having a cavity 16, a pressure feeding mechanism 3 which feeds, under positive pressure, the cavity 16 with the metal stock M in a solid-liquid heterogeneous phase, and an annular blade 4 placed near the inlet of the cavity in the substrate. The blade 4 has the stripping edge 44 for stripping the external layer of the metal stock M when the metal stock M is pressure fed into the cavity 16 by means of the pressure feeding mechanism 3. There are formed cooling fins 45 on the outer circumference of the blade as a means for removing heat from the stripping edge 44. The heat removal means may be composed of a passage of coolant provided inside the blade 4 and a pumping mechanism provided outside the blade 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
